Dr. Mark Nunez earned his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Louisiana State University in 2002. He has provided first-rate care for the pets of Long Island ever since. Dr. Nunez has professional interests in behavioral counseling, preventive care, dermatology, dental care, weight management, arthritis, and endocrinology. Dr. Nunez shares a home with a dog, Roxy, and a cat, Kelly.
Dr. Michael Funk received his degree in veterinary medicine from Michigan State University. Dr. Funk was named 'Best Veterinarian' of Long Island in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018. Following Hurricane Sandy, he organized a relief effort that helped animals clinically and recognized the special bond between a person and their pet. Dr. Funk is a skilled veterinarian who values open and frequent client communication. His areas of professional interest include wound-repair surgery, and neurology and seizure management.
Dr. Laura Gay Senk is the founding veterinarian of Farmingdale Dog & Cat Clinic, and she earned her degree in veterinary medicine from the University of Georgia. Dr. Senk has professional interest in feline medicine and started a Trap Neuter Release (TNR) program that is still in place today. She is driven to help animals in need, control pet overpopulation, and care for the stray and feral cat colonies of Long Island. In her free time, Dr. Senk enjoys horseback riding, skiing, and writing.
Dr. Fischman is a graduate of Cornell University and her areas of special interests are preventative medicine, geriatrics, animal welfare, and client education. She enjoys interacting with dedicated clients who appreciate their animals as much as she does. Dr. Fischman has always had a menagerie of pets, and currently shares her home with Gideon, a Doberman Pinscher, Snookie, a Chihuahua, Penni, a senior Dachshund, and 4 cats named Wallaby, Flan, Grizzly, and Devon. She believes in giving back to the community and volunteers her time with several rescue organizations on Long Island.
Dr. James Keuhn is an associate veterinarian passionate about making a difference in the lives of animals. Originally from Rockville Centre, Dr. Keuhn earned his degree in veterinary medicine from Iowa State University. He has special interests in dentistry, feline medicine, and nutrition. In his free time, Dr. Keuhn enjoys traveling, hiking, and being with his wife who is also a veterinarian! He has four pets at home; two cats, Moose and Swiss Miss, and two rabbits, CeCe and Sugar.
